Improve Communications With All Your Markets
Nothing against the PR industry, but we think most of them don't really "get" trade shows. So we're jumping in.
Many authors of the most popular blogs have been stating that "traditional PR is dead." Maybe not yet, but time and technology have changed how your market accesses news.
Blogs/RSS and social media like Twitter and Facebook have become increasingly important as marketing and communication channels before, during and after events. These new media require serious consideration by all event organizers, exhibitors and sponsors.
We understand blogs and microblogs and why they work. More important, we understand trade shows and why they work. And we'd like to share what we know with organizers and exhibitors who are sincerely interested in reaching out to their market through the 'blogosphere/twitterverse'.
But we won't work with just anyone. We will only work with organizers and event managers who are willing to be Authentic, Passionate and Transparent in their communications. Otherwise, you and I will just be spinning our wheels.
Of course you have other options for launching a social media initiatives besides us. There are many, many people willing to take your money. Before you decide, do some Googling on the topic and visit the blogs of folks like Tom Peters, Seth Godin, Toby Bloomberg, Robert Scoble and Hugh McLeod - all of whom know a thing or two about the value of Authenticity, Passion and Transparency in blogging. Just don't get fleeced without investigating who you're working with and why they want your business.
If you are interested in working with TWG on developing a social media presence or enhancing your PR, we can work with you on either a project basis or retainer.
We can help you set up your blog and develop an audience for it, and in some cases, even help you write it. We will stay by your side until you feel comfortable owning the process yourself, however long that takes.
We will also review your event's PR program and improve it (tech shows excepted, we won't handle PR for those). This might be accomplished simply by having us act as proactive management of your existing PR firm. Or, let us put our network of PR pros to work for you.
Whether you're looking to establish a blog or just improve your "traditional" PR presence, you'll find us both flexible and affordable (considering the results we'll deliver). To get started, simply drop us a line at info@westerfieldgroup.com.
